Agriculture Sector




The Ministry of Urban Development and Land – MUDL transferred 1663 jeribs (332.6 hectors) of state-owned land to the Ministry of Agriculture in past two years to strengthen agriculture in the country.

The land area includes 500 jeribs (100 hectors) of land for the construction of research farms in Takhar and Balkh province respectively, 309 jeribs (61.8 hectors) of alternative land for Darul Aman cocoon farm in Kabul, 350 jeribs of land for the construction of research farm in Farah, 4 jeribs (0. 8 hectors) of land to build strategic cereal storage in Daikondi province, and 11 jeribs (2.2 hectors) of land to construct promotion department building.

The Ministry of Urban Development and Land is processing 4 projects in agriculture sector that includes; constructing dam, and promotion department building of Farkhar-Takhar, constructing veterinary clinic in Kapisa and administrative office of Ministry of Agriculture, irrigation and livestock in Kabul.
